We found this retreat on an ad on Facebook, read reviews and thought it would be amazing to try out Stargazer. Lagom is truly an amazing experience, unforgettable for sure, we can't wait to go back. The openness is invigorating and the seclusion of the country was so inviting. The perfect blend of small community, country, peaceful and wide openness. So glad we found this treasure. A beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy family time and/or company with your significant other. Our cabin, the stargazer was one of a kind with an all around unique look and feel! Loved it.

What a special time we had at Lagom Retreat! We stayed in Stargazer #1 and it was beyond serene. The stars really are big and bright deep in the heart of Texas, and this is a magical spot to view them. There’s so much thought put into this property, from the layout of the cabins, local touches in the mercantile shop, to the gorgeous landscaping. Our favorite part of the weekend though was spending time in the event hall with Leslie the owner and her amazing sister Jan. My husband and I stayed at Lagom Resort in Dripping Springs this weekend for our 26th wedding anniversary, and it was truly unforgettable. We stayed in Stargazer #3, and every detail of our experience exceeded expectations.

The owners went above and beyond to make our anniversary special — they surprised us with beautiful flowers, champagne, specialty chocolates, spa items, and so many thoughtful touches that made us feel incredibly welcomed and celebrated.

The atmosphere was peaceful, romantic, and beautifully designed. Spending the evening under the stars was absolutely magical. I stayed in the stargazer for a quick getaway on my birthday. Staff were very attentive and responsive. I unknowingly booked my trip and there was a pretty scary thunderstorm in the middle of the night. I was staying in an all glass/see through cabin and was offered a new cabin to make me feel safe. Something I didn’t ask for, but very much appreciated. Rooms were clean and beautiful. Hot tub was clean and ready for me. Outdoor shower was amazing.The view and the sunset is so peaceful. I have been raving about this place to anyone and everyone that I come in contact with; social media, friends I see, my waxer, you name it, I probably raved about it to the person.

I stayed in the Stargazer, and it was INCREDIBLE. The view was nothing like I'd imagined. I was able to take the most *incredible* photos from the private deck. I didn't run into anyone if I didn't want to. It was all completely private.

Photographers: It's the perfect place for Hill Country landscape photography and for boudoir photos. Golden hour at Lagom 👏🏼 hits 👏🏼 different👏🏼. I recommend taking photos on the deck and hot tub during golden hour for the best photos of your life.

There's a gate with a code, so access to the property is extremely secure (but don't drive past it; Apple Maps doesn't take you to the entrance. It's slightly before where the GPS wants to take you, so look for the logo on the gate). I felt extremely safe there going by myself.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The owners made sure I felt secure and safe as a woman staying in an all glass cabin by myself. They responded to every one of my texts promptly and helped me with any big or small problem I had.

The view of the sky was insanely beautiful. It's undiscribale. Sleeping and looking up at the stars was breathtaking, and I wished I'd stayed more than 2 nights. Honestly, I wanted to stay for all eternity there.

Everything is well thought out inside the cabin from the towels to the spoons. It's a very comfortable stay, and you can have and make snacks to your hearts content while sleeping on the most luxe bedding in history.

Warning though: I wouldn't recommend staying in the Stargazer cabins during the hot months, ya know; Texas summers. The cabin has great A/C, but there's only so much it can do when the entire cabin is essentially glass. There are coverings the owners have put above the cabins to help with the heat, but Texas heat is brutal.

I'd recommend staying at one of the other cabins during the summer, or plan to not be inside the Stargazer cabin if you plan on staying there in the summer.

The property is BEAUTIFUL.

This place is like peaceful, silent, reconnecting, healing magic.

I highly, highly recommend staying here if you're looking to reconnect with nature and/or reset your mental and emotional load but in luxurious comfort and A/C.

Our stay at Lagom was as serene and comfortable as we could have hoped. It felt luxurious but still intimate and disconnected from the busy-ness of life. Leslie welcomed us and made us feel right at home and was responsive to any questions or requests. We went with our two young kids and our large dog and everyone was happy. I was bummed that it rained a lot so we didn’t get to do as much hiking and stargazing as I’d hoped, but we were perfectly content in our cabin and we even had enough sunshine for a dip in the hot tub one day! We had a wonderful stay at Lagom Retreat in the Stargazer cabin. You can tell that a lot of thought was put into making the place luxurious from the kitchenware, furniture, and down to the bedding and amenities used in each of the cabins. Stayed in the Stargazer for two nights this past weekend and all I can say is WOW! Amazing property, the cabin itself, the views, it felt like a luxurious night under the stars. We woke to different constellations above us, and spent our days on the deck, explore Johnson City, and hiking in nearby Pedernales Falls State Park. My wife and I stayed in the Stargazer, and we really, really enjoyed it! The amenities (microwave-oven combo, french press, full freezer/refrigerator, hot tub, private outdoor shower protected from wind, etc.) were great, and in great condition. Very clean. For us, it was a very unique place to stay with a great view! It was a relatively warm January when we went, but could have been enjoyed as a much colder month getaway as well. The Stargazer was beautifully, uniquely designed with extravagant touches thoughtfully chosen. Luxurious linens, warm, modern colors that blended with the Texan hillcountry seamlessly connected the peaceful terrain to the interior.  It was the ultimate lone getaway to relax, recharge, and release before heading into the busyness of the holidays as a single mom.  Jan was warm, welcoming, and the right amount of attentiveness during my stay.  I'm looking forward to making this a yearly refresh and recharge single weekend. We stayed in the stargazer and absolutely loved our time there. We opted for the romance package add on and we're gifted a bottle of bubbly, a charcuterie board, flowers and sweet treats in our cabin. The outdoor shower was great, except on a cold morning. But there is a hand sprayer in the tub so you can wash with that as well. The hot tub was a perfect temp and ready to go when we arrived. The scenery is breath taking. We dined at nearby restaurants, Tillie's for breakfast. Rolling in Thyme and Dough for lunch and Trattoria Lisina for dinner. All were delicious options. There was plenty of dishes, glasses and silverware if you plan to dine in as well. I slept amazing on their Thuma mattress...so much so we plan to buy one at home. I am looking forward to coming back again and trying another cabin. It's fun that you can stay at a different location in the retreat and try a different cabin each time.
